The Society of Wetland Scientists’ 2018 Annual Meeting will be held at the Denver Marriott City Center in Denver, Colorado, May 29-June 1, 2018. This unique meeting is themed “Wetland Science: Integrating Research, Practice, and Policy – An Exchange of Expertise.”

The program will focus on the intercommunication of the most recent developments in wetland science, practice, and policy between the different sectors of SWS. The meeting forum will encourage collaboration and partnerships among wetland researchers, practitioners, managers, and policy-makers, with the overall goal of improving wetland science.

Multi-sector collaboration is essential to furthering the understanding, conservation, management, and sustainable use of wetlands throughout the world. This collaboration will be fostered at the meeting through various mechanisms, including the careful selection of plenary speakers from the different sectors, crafting of key symposia where collaboration is a focus, organizing unique workshops and field trips that involve aspects of both research and practice, and social events and other gatherings focused on connecting attendees with differing specialties and interests.
