+ Are continuing education credits available?
If you maintain a professional license issued by the SWS Professional Certification Program or another association, occupational licensing board or a department of professional regulation, you may be eligible to earn continuing education credits for your participation in the SWS 2019 Annual Meeting. Attendees are responsible for verifying licensing requirements, as well as managing and submitting all necessary paperwork. If you have any questions regarding continuing education credit requirements as they pertain to your professional certification or license, please contact the appropriate licensing board directly.
+ Does SWS have an awards program and how do I apply?
The SWS awards program strives to acknowledge outstanding contributors in wetland science and service and looks to honor those who have made a major impact in the field. Awards are presented each year at the SWS Annual Meeting. This award program not only honors award recipients but also creates awareness of the progress and leadership that takes place within the field. Interested in recognizing a fellow colleague for their work? Visit the Society Awards page for a full list of awards and past award winners.
+ Where can I access presentation materials?
Accepted abstracts will be available via the meeting mobile app and through the online abstract search site. Instructions for accessing the app will be available in early May 2019.
+ Will internet be available during the meeting?
Wireless internet will be available at the Hilton Baltimore.
+ How do I obtain a U.S. Visa?
If you are a non-U.S. citizen, don’t delay in applying for a visa to enter the United States. Such arrangements are the responsibility of the conference attendee. Visit the U.S. Department of State’s website for more information on obtaining a visa.
+ Do you offer rideshare or roommate pairing services?
We don't offer a service but if you are looking to split transportation or lodging costs with fellow wetland scientists at the upcoming meeting, you can connect with peers through this Facebook event.
